Commissioning is the process of assuring that all components and systems of an amusement device have been designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the Manufacturer, owner or final client.

Pre Use inspections (Design Review, Conformity to Design and Initial Test) are all part of the commissioning process. In addition to these, installation checks will be performed by ride Manufacturer’s Technicians when installing the device, covering many aspects of the installation process such as torque checks, cycle timing, testing fans and motors, etc. LTC engineers are sometimes asked to witness these tests, reducing lead time as overlapping tests performed during commissioning tests and initial test can be observed.
