It can be difficult to provide suitable access for inspection of some ride structures, particularly at height, in confined spaces or where theming, landscaping and ground conditions create obstacles. The costs and logistics associated with Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) or hiring specialist teams can make providing the best inspection platform for rides an expensive chore. Rope access offers simple, safe and an adaptable means of access to all types of device structure, regardless of the obstacles.

The nature of the amusements industry means that all LTC inspection staff undertake specialist working at height training each year, tailored specifically to traversing ride structures safely. For the most challenging structures, LTC also have an in-house IRATA qualified rope access team that have the expertise to access the highest and most difficult to reach areas on ride structures. Our rope access team is managed by IRATA Level 3 qualified staff supplied by Lineryder, who we work with closely to construct all our high level risk assessments to fulfil HSE requirements.
